Founded in 1996 by company President Sandra Pierce, Phoenix Woodworking rose from the ashes of a millwork shop that had burnt completely to the ground. After a second attempt to bring back the original company failed, Sandra purchased the equipment, created Phoenix Woodworking, hired back the original employees and relied on the expertise and skill of its dedicated employees to create a millwork shop that thrives on working hand in hand with its customers, vendors and subcontractors. We are proud to say that some of the original employees from 1996 are still with us today and use their decades of experience to create our quality projects.
All the work done at Phoenix Woodworking is custom, one of a kind commercial cabinetry and casework designed by talented architects who send us their prints. We are very proud of the hospitals, schools, medical and dental offices, park districts and commercial projects that we have been entrusted to create from these prints. Over more than twenty years, we have formed strong partnerships with our vendors, subcontractors and customers to create the cabinetry and casework that our customers will use for decades. Our customers’ projects become “our projects” as we treat each project with the pride that we would take as if we were building it for ourselves. Our company is more than just Phoenix Woodworking; it is the composite efforts of everyone who works with us to meet our customers’ needs and deliver a project to them that we are all proud of.
Phoenix Woodworking has dedicated itself to keeping the tradition of woodworking standards through our association with the Architectural Woodwork Institute and we have earned their QCP, quality certification. We work with the highest architectural standards and sometimes find it difficult to find where the woodworking ends and the art begins.
We are certified as a WBE (Woman Business Enterprise) with the City of Chicago, Women’s Business Development Center, Central Management System for the State of Illinois and with the federal Woman Owned Small Business program. We have worked with LEED specifications and have worked on several successful certified LEED projects.
Phoenix Woodworking built a 20,000 square foot facility and brought in CNC, Edgebanding and computer software programs to assure we adhere to the highest standards in manufacturing. We have dedicated resources to training and developing our employees’ skills to keep up with the latest technology.
Phoenix Woodworking is here to serve your millwork, casework and cabinetry needs.
